Genre mindmap (Comedy)

 

Narrative for comedy is very common, a story getting misunderstood and the realization step that is the hook that make the whole auditorium laugh. 

Some of the camera work that used in this genre is wide shot to ensure that all involve character are in the on scene, often used in chaos shots. Another camera angle is POV, which is point-of-view, it allow the audience to experience another characters views in short period to get a different perspective 

Some of the props that use is mainly weird/outdated clothing in order to make people laugh, another method is the use of facial expression. Emotion is one of the key to determine the character's feeling at the moment. Appropriate use of emotion could easily delivered the message that director want to decode

Sounds are use effectively in comedy genre as it change the hype and atmosphere of the sequence, sometime act as an activator to enhance the experience of audinece

Editing is also important as well since most of the message that has been connote will be send throuh this medium to allow audience to "consume" and decode from the media product. Cutting on action is very good choice, it allow the audience to see what's happening after an action has been made. 

Lastly it's character, sometime character would be an immigrant like Gloria (modern family), due to the accent it has cause everyone.
